The 4th Annual Bid ’n Buy Auction of the Lions Charity Foundation of District 24 D was a remarkable success! With estimates of nearly 200 people in attendance at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Chesapeake, the mood was festive, the participants were active and deals were plentiful! According to auction organizers, this is one of our most profitable auctions yet. In spite of the dreary weather, individual deal seekers were in abundance and enthusiastically bid on over 300 items up for auction.
Winners of the of the LCF Charity Raffle were:
- Cedric Jones – Portsmouth – $1,000
- Dwight Goodenour – Williamsburg- $500
- Bruce MacIver – Virginia Beach – $250
The support of the Lions Clubs of the District with their contributions of time, auction items and enthusiasm were the ingredients which made our 4th Annual Bid ’n Buy Auction successful. The Charity Foundation Board expresses our thanks and gratitude to all the loyal supporters.
