The Lions Charity Foundation of Southeastern Virginia is again pleased to announce our Hunger Relief Grant Program approved at our July 2025 annual meeting. The Foundation has increased the total amount available to $50,000. These funds will be available on a first come first served basis to all District 24-I Lions Clubs starting on November 1, 2025. Grant applications will be received on line beginning November1, 2025 using the link on the Links/Forms page of this website. Scroll down to “SPECIAL GRANTS”. The link will not be accessible until November 1st. So please don’t attempt to apply early. To streamline and effectively manage the application process clubs must apply using the on-line Hunger Relief Grant form link. Exceptions to this application process may be granted upon request to the Grants Committee Chairperson, but is discouraged as it will likely delay processing. Through a simple hunger grant application process each club can apply for up to a $1,000 grant which can be apportioned between two Club supported food pantry partnerships or food drives. Our foundation’s goal is to support your club’s Lions Bag Hunger project, ongoing support of food pantry partnerships, or food drives during LCI’s Hunger Awareness Month in January 2026.
